Where are newborn sessions held?
Newborn sessions are typically held in my cozy Portland studio, which is specifically designed for your baby’s comfort and safety. The studio features a calm, soothing environment, perfect for capturing those sweet, intimate moments. If you’d prefer a more familiar setting, in-home sessions are also available, where we can capture your baby in the comfort of your own space.
How long does a newborn session last?
An average newborn session usually lasts around 2-2.5 hours. This allows plenty of time for breaks, feeding, and extra cuddles to ensure your baby stays happy and comfortable throughout the session.
What if my baby doesn't sleep or is uncooperative?
It’s completely normal for newborns to be unpredictable! I’ll work with your baby’s cues to capture the best moments and have a toolbox of tricks that I've learned over the years to ensure a smooth session.
When should I book?
It’s best to book your newborn session during your pregnancy to secure a spot on my calendar, while I try to leave wiggle room in my schedule for last minute sessions, I typically reccomend booking at least a month in advance. We will schedule the exact session date once your baby arrives, typically within the first few weeks of life for those classic sleepy newborn shots.
